Plow, Pigs, & People: Highbanks 1850-1866

If you wonder about the Highbanks area in the early days, this program is for you.  The presentation begins with a brief look-back at the era of the first program, Howling Wilderness:  Highbanks 1800-1850, before exploring the featured time period.

The program then moves forward to look at what life was like in the mid 1800s. Ms. Mattingley researched who owned the various parcels of land, and what we know about them.  Ms. Mattingley says of the program “I try to present interesting stories about life in those times, and juicy biographical tidbits if I can find them.”
