Delaware County Historical Society Preservation Committee’s mission is to advocate for the preservation of historic architecture, educate the public of the value of preservation, promote the adaptive reuse of old buildings, and ensure new design is compatible with historic structures throughout Delaware County.
To fulfill this mission, the committee provides classes on how to care for historic buildings, they identify and raise public awareness of these historic buildings, they celebrate and recognize notable preservation or restoration efforts, and encourage appreciation of building as essential to the history of the county.
