David Simmons is an advocate, photographer, author, contributor, and speaker on Covered Bridges. He is President of the Ohio Historic Bridge Association and was Senior Editor of TIMELINE magazine at Ohio History Connection.

David is a listed contributor to the National Park Services study: “Covered bridges and the Birth of American Engineering”.

He is the 2019 recipient of the General Tools Award by Society for Industrial Archeology
