Harlem Township Heritage would like to invite you to the dedication ceremony of an Ohio Historic Marker honoring Richard W. Thompson, Revolutionary War Fife Major and Drum Major who was also Master Musician of the Ohio Militia during the War of 1812.

The ceremony will be on Sunday, November 10, 2 pm, in Fancher Cemetery (north side of Fancher Road (County Road 20), 0.9 miles west of State Route 605, old section, top of the hill. )

Harlem Township Heritage
Harlem Township Heritage raised the funds to secure the township’s first Ohio Historic Marker in 2013. The marker honored Benajah Cook and other first settlers.
Harlem Township Heritage is about “Preserving Our Past, Promoting Our Present, Preparing Our Future”. Our mission is to create interest in Harlem Township, it’s historical past, and natural surroundings through preservation, conservation, and education.
Harlem Township Heritage is a member of the Delaware County History Network.
