County Opens Historic Courthouse For Public Tours

One thing is clear. The building which served as the Delaware County Courthouse, built in 1868, is a community landmark.
Replaced by a functional building across Sandusky Street a few years ago, the Historic Courthouse, as it is now known, has been restored to serve again as a county facility. Among other things, it houses the offices and meeting room for the Delaware County Commissioners.
Now, in response to public demand, the Commissioners have authorized new free guided tours of the building.
Available time slots for this approximately 30-45 minute tour are: Tuesdays 11 a.m. or 4 p.m., Wednesdays 11 a.m. or 4 p.m., and Fridays 11 a.m. You can also request other time slots during our regular business hours (8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Mondays-Fridays except for government holidays), but their availability will depend on other events going on in the building. The building is fully accessible.
